The night is sombre, like this night. With nothing but dim rays of light bordering the sides of the road. Not heeding to the red lights, you whisk away into the dark of the night. You tell me to follow suit, but I don't. I can't. For every green light letting me pass, there are just as many red lights stopping me. I try to look back. But the trails we left, begin to turn into blurred images as our echos become as transparent and thin as the air. It's a dead end. I've caught up to you by now. You're at the edge of the cliff, with trembling lips that mimick the rhythm of your quivering heart. With one last breath, you lean forward and gracefully let the wind wrap its arms around you. You fall as serene as the waters cascading down a waterfall. So beautiful, yet so tragic. The tears rolling down my face quickly turn into droplets of ice. It's cold. The night is dead, and so are you.
